This guide helps you use Space ID inside the Leap extension and app to easily send payments using names instead of long wallet addresses.

What is Space ID?

Space ID lets you use simple names (like alice.space) instead of long wallet addresses (like 0x123...). It automatically finds the right address for the token and chain you are using.

How It Works

When you enter a name, Space ID finds the matching wallet address for the chain and token you choose. You just need to:

1. Pick the token and chain
2. Type the recipient’s name (like alice.space or alice@eth)
3. The system finds the wallet address automatically
4. Check the resolved address
5. Send your payment

Tips

• Always double‑check the final wallet address before sending
• If you see an error, try again or use the full wallet address
• The @ version (like alice@eth) works the same as alice.space in some cases
• You don’t need to pay gas to look up a name — only for the actual send
